Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

EggWhite Mask

This is a very SIMPLE and AFFORDABLE beauty regimen that I religiously do...EGGWHITE Mask.  Heard of this easy to follow beauty routine which can be done anytime of the week at your own place?  Just follow these simple pointers:
1.  Separate the egg white from the yolk.  You don't need the whole egg.  (you may want to fry the leftovers after, but be sure to separate the one that you will be using for your face, hehehe).
2.  Spread it all over your face like any other regular face mask.  Be sure to avoid the eyes and mouth areas.
3.  Wait for atleast 30 min to about an hour for the mask to dry.  You may feel a little tightening on your face.
4.  Wash your face with warm water.

Immediate results after the application:
-  Tightening of pores
-  Improvement on deep wrinkles
-  The skin is supple
-  Good tightening effect

I do this atleast once a week but then it depends on your stress level (hahahah).
Do try it now!

adobada or adobado + burnt rice

My dinner tonight was adobo.  I cooked it yesterday (tried really hard to cook).  Unfortunately, I have a burnt rice (as in the aroma and the color does not please the eyes).  Well, I don’t have a choice so I just closed my eyes  while I chewed (hope I digests it well)  and imagined that it was the best meal ever.Hahaha.

Adobo is Spanish for sauce, seasoning, or marinade. Meat marinated or seasoned with an adobo is referred to having been adobada or adobado.
Pork, spices, and especially red pepper are used. Dishes with the borrowed name, but with different cultural roots, are prepared in the Philippines.

In Filipino cuisine, adobo refers to a common cooking process indigenous to the Philippines.  When the Spanish invaded the Philippines in the late 16th century through Mexico City, they found an indigenous cooking process that involved stewing with vinegar. They referred to this method as "adobo". Over time, dishes prepared in this manner came to be known by this name as well.

Infatuation or Love ( and or Lust)?!

I met a guy about a month ago.  Not the typical prince that will sweep you off your feet.  Not that good looking either.  My friends and  usually describes him as TALL, DARK and HONEST.hahahaha.   I cannot even imagine  myself HHWW (holding hands while walking) with him.  But when he talks, he makes sense.  Maybe, I' ve reached the point in my life (I'm in my late 20s) that what matters more is the emotional and intellectual aspects of a person rather than the physical.
Infatuation is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoned passion or love; addictive love. Usually, one is inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone.
Infatuation is a common emotion characterized by unrealistic expectations of blissful passion without positive relationship growth or development. Infatuation is distinguished by a lack of trust, loyalty, commitment, and reciprocity. In the case of infatuation, there is usually an obsessor and an object of desire, who may or may not be attainable.
Love is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. "Love" can also refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros (cf.Greek words for love), to the emotional closeness of familial love, or to the platonic love that defines friendship, to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.  This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

New Year, New Life!

The New Year is the day that marks the beginning of a new calendar year, and is the day on which the year count of the specific calendar used is incremented. In many cultures, the event is celebrated in some manner.  The New Year of the Gregorian calendar, today in worldwide use, falls on 1 January, continuing the practice of the Roman calendar. There are numerous calendars that remain in regional use that calculate the New Year individually.
New Year's eve celebration in the Philippines is quite different compared to other countries. Filipinos literally start the year with a bang. Just a few days before New Year's eve, you will see lots of side walk vendors selling different kinds of firecrakers. In spite of the yearly ban on firecrackers, because of a number of accidents caused by firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices that have resulted in the loss of lives, limbs and properties, still many Filipinos see lighting of firecrackers as the traditional means to greet and celebrate the New Year eve.
Round shapes (representing coins) are thought to symbolize prosperity for the coming year in the Philippines; many Filipino families display heaps of round fruits on the dining table for New Year's Eve. Other families are more particular; they eat exactly 12 fruits at midnight. Still others wear New Year polka dots for luck.
Happy New Year, everyone!:) and don't forget to pray for a new and productive year ahead!

Noisemaker!

firecracker (also known as a crackernoise makerbanger or bunger) is a small explosive device primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise, especially in the form of a loud bang; any visual effect is incidental to this goal. They have fuses, and are wrapped in a heavy paper casing to contain the explosive compound. Firecrackers, along with fireworks, originated in China.
Firecrackers are commonly used in celebration of holidays or festivals, such as HalloweenIndependence Day (also known as the 4th of July) in the United States of America, Diwali in IndiaTihar in NepalHari Raya in MalaysiaDay of Ashura in MoroccoGuy Fawkes Night or bonfire night in the United Kingdom, Bastille day in France, and Spanish Fallas, in almost every cultural festival of Sri Lanka (e.g. Sri Lankan new year) and especially the celebration of Chinese New Year by Chinese communities around the world.
Fireworks and firecrackers are widely available throughout the Philippines, but are banned in Davao City.
Few days before New Years Eve, you will see lots and lots of side walk vendors selling different kinds of firecrackers. Because of a reported numerous accidents, loss of lives, limbs and properties caused by firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, a yearly ban of this is being held. But is spite of this, still many Filipinos consider setting off of firecrackers as a traditional means to greet ad celebrate the New Years Eve.

My Comfort Food (McDo's Twister Fries)

McDonald's Corporation is the world's largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, serving more than 58 million customers daily. In addition to its signature restaurant chain, McDonald’s Corporation held a minority interest in Pret A Manger until 2008, was a major investor in the Chipotle Mexican Grill until 2006, and owned the restaurant chain Boston Market until 2007.
McDonald's primarily sells hamburgerscheeseburgerschicken products, french friesbreakfast items, soft drinksshakes, and desserts. In response to obesity trends in Western nations and in the face of criticism over the healthiness of its products, the company has modified its menu to include alternatives considered healthier such as saladswraps and fruit.
My favorite McDo product is the Twister Fries.  It can be ordered as solo or part of a combo.  I make it a habit to order online weekly.  How I love the fries.  Who cares about the calories?!

Next Stop- Over: VIETNAM

My friends (Ryan and Kate) and I are planning our summer destination next year.  We are torn between Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangkok and Indonesia.  But our top priority is VIETNAM.
Vietnam (pronounced /ˌviː.ɛtˈnɑːm/), officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula inSoutheast Asia. It is bordered by People's Republic of China (PRC) to the north, Laos to the northwest, Cambodia to the southwest, and the South China Sea, referred to as East Sea (VietnameseBiển Đông), to the east. With a population of over 86 million, Vietnam is the13th most populous country in the world.
The people of Vietnam regained independence and broke away from China in AD 938 after their victory at the battle of Bạch Đằng River. Successive dynasties flourished along with geographic and political expansion deeper into Southeast Asia, until it was colonized by the French in the mid-19th century. Efforts to resist the French eventually led to their expulsion from the country in the mid-20th century, leaving a nation divided politically into two countries. Fighting between the two sides continued during the Vietnam War, ending with a North Vietnamese victory in 1975.
Emerging from this prolonged military engagement, the war-ravaged nation was politically isolated. In 1986, the government instituted economic and political reforms and began a path towards international reintegration. By 2000, it had established diplomatic relations with most nations. Its economic growth has been among the highest in the world in the past decade. These economic reforms also introduced inequality in many spheres of life in Vietnam such as income distribution and women's rights.
